Troubleshooting Your ARK Server

Most ARK problems have quick fixes. Work through this guide before opening a ticket, and you will solve most issues yourself.

First checks

  1. Open the Console and read the most recent messages, errors usually point straight at the cause.
  2. Try a Restart from the panel.
  3. Check the CPU and RAM graphs, constant high usage means you need a bigger plan.
  4. Make sure the game and any mods are up to date.

Common problems and fixes

  • The server takes a long time to start. ARK plus mods can take several minutes to load on first boot, this is normal. Watch the Console.
  • Mods are not loading. Check the IDs and their order in -mods=, and make sure players subscribed to the same mods.
  • Players cannot find the server. Filter the browser by Unofficial and by your map name.
