How to Set Up Admins on Your Counter-Strike 2 Server

Admins can manage players and use special commands. This guide shows how to grant admin on Counter-Strike 2 and how to keep it secure.

Grant admin

Add admins by SteamID in your framework's config, for example SourceMod's admins.cfg. You can also use rcon_password for remote admin from the game console.

Good practice

  • Only give admin to people you trust.
  • Use strong, unique passwords for any admin features.
  • Keep a record of who has access, and remove it when it is no longer needed.
  • Avoid using admin powers during normal play to keep things fair.
