Troubleshooting Your Counter-Strike 2 Server

Most Counter-Strike 2 problems have quick fixes. Work through this guide before opening a ticket, and you will solve most issues yourself.

First checks

  1. Open the Console and read the most recent messages, errors usually point straight at the cause.
  2. Try a Restart from the panel.
  3. Check the CPU and RAM graphs, constant high usage means you need a bigger plan.
  4. Make sure the game and any plugins are up to date.

Common problems and fixes

  • The server shows as insecure. This is normal when running plugins, VAC is disabled on community servers.
  • Plugins are not working. Confirm Metamod loaded first with meta list, then check the framework loaded.
  • Players cannot connect. Check the game ports and that the server finished starting.
