How to Set Up Admins on Your Terraria Server

Admins can manage players and use special commands. This guide shows how to grant admin on Terraria and how to keep it secure.

Grant admin

If you run TShock, type /auth in chat to claim superadmin on first setup, then manage players and groups. On a plain server, a server password is your main control.

Good practice

  • Only give admin to people you trust.
  • Use strong, unique passwords for any admin features.
  • Keep a record of who has access, and remove it when it is no longer needed.
  • Avoid using admin powers during normal play to keep things fair.
