How to Create and Restore Snapshots

Snapshots capture the entire state of your VPS at a single point in time. If an update or change breaks something, you can roll back in seconds.

Creating a snapshot

  1. Log in to the Server Portal
  2. Click Manage on your server
  3. Open the Snapshots tab
  4. Enter a name (e.g. before-update-24jun) and click Create Snapshot

The snapshot is created in the background — usually 1–5 minutes. Your server keeps running throughout.

Restoring a snapshot

  1. Go to the Snapshots tab
  2. Find the snapshot and click Restore
  3. Confirm — your server reboots into the snapshot state
Warning: Restoring overwrites everything made after that snapshot. Any changes since will be lost.

Deleting a snapshot

Click Delete next to a snapshot to remove it permanently. We recommend keeping 2-3 snapshots at most.
