MyMiles ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mileage tracking application designed to help professionals track work-related travel and generate expense reports. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

MyMiles collects and stores the following data locally on your device:

• Location Data: GPS coordinates when you log trips, used to calculate distances between locations.
• Trip Information: Start and end locations, dates, distances, costs, and notes you enter.
• Production/Project Names: Names of productions or projects you create to organise your trips.
• Saved Locations: Addresses and postcodes you save for quick trip entry.
• App Settings: Your preferences such as mileage rate and theme settings.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to:

• Calculate distances between trip start and end points
• Generate mileage cost calculations
• Create expense reports (PDF/CSV) for your personal use
• Provide location suggestions via geocoding services

Data Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store your personal data on any external servers. Your trip history, locations, and settings remain entirely on your phone.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Google Maps/Geocoding API: Used to convert postcodes and addresses to coordinates for distance calculation. When you enter an address, it is sent to Google's servers to retrieve location coordinates. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties. The only time your data leaves your device is:

• When you manually export and share a report (PDF/CSV)
• When addresses are sent to Google for geocoding

Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual trips, productions, or locations within the app. Uninstalling the app will remove all stored data.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• View all your stored trips and data within the app
• Export your data at any time via PDF or CSV
• Delete individual records or all data
• Uninstall the app to remove all data from your device

Children's Privacy

MyMiles is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Permissions

The app requests the following permissions:

• Location: Required to determine your current position for trip logging and distance calculation.
• Internet: Required for address/postcode lookup via geocoding services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
